Role: Vineyard and apple orchard full time worker
Business: A small 125 acre family run farm of vineyard and apples near Faversham, Kent. Applicant will be part of a small team, joining three other permanent staff.
Requirement: Tackling the day to day routine requirements of growing husbandry in our established orchards and vineyards.
* Previous experience desirable but not essential.
* Spraying PA1 and PA3 qualifications desirable but not essential.
* Full UK driving license essential.
* Fluent english essential.
* A willingness to work outside in all weathers in all seasons.
* Able to work independently and as a part of a team.
* An aptitude and willingness for learning new skills.
* 39 hour week. 8 hours per day Monday-Thursday, 7 hours on Friday.
* Occasional Over-Time required, especially during harvest.
* Flexible daily start time negotiable.
* 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
* Supervisory roles available in the future.
Job role: Will include:
* Main vineyard tasks (pruning, tying down and crown rubbing)
* Vineyard trellis maintenance
* Ground management – weed control and mowing
* Orchard pruning
* Pest and disease monitoring and identification
* Orchard and vineyard spraying
* Management of Seasonal Workers
* Vine and apple harvesting supervision and quality assessment
