Working between Birmingham and Coventry – (140 Teaching days per year – office days dependant on this)

Purpose of Job

We are looking for AAT Tutors to deliver and support the delivery of Accountancy and bookkeeping courses.

The role will require the successful candidate to have a good understanding of the delivery of Accountancy as well as a good knowledge of education. This tutor will inspire and ensure that every candidate is given every possible opportunity to thrive and succeed. They will also be responsible for mentoring the apprentices during their work placements and ensuring they are in a

safe environment where they can progress and learn.

Essential Requirements for the Role:

* Must have a teaching qualification such as PTLLS or equivalent

* Must hold an AAT or equivalent qualification

* Confident with 1-1 and group delivery.

* At least 3 year’s experience of successfully working in an accounting role or teaching accounting skills

* Flexible travel as post holder must be able to travel across east, central and South East London

* Satisfactorily meeting the businesses employment checks – a Disclosure and Barring Service Check (including any relevant overseas checks), health assessment, references, qualifications and legal entitlement to work in the UK

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

* To deliver AAT / Accountancy qualifications from foundation to advanced levels

* To deliver classroom / group based training to learners, along with field based Assessments in the learners’ place of work.

* Prepare, plan and deliver quality learning and ensure timely and accurate completions in line with company procedures and timescales.

* Provide guidance, support and encouragement to learners throughout their journey.

* Provide progress feedback to learners and provide support to ensure they meet their set goal / target.

* Organise and maintain documentation on learners` progress.

* Be able to support learners to overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner`s needs.

* To support, advise and motivate learners.

* Ensure that all required paperwork, including enrolment forms, learning outcomes forms, awarding body registration forms and course registers, including the tutor’s report and claim forms are completed and returned to the relevant office, within two weeks of the end of the course (It is vital for funding purposes that these documents are received promptly).

* Attend relevant induction and training meetings as required.

* Attend Standardisation meetings, internal and external moderation meetings.
