TeacherActive are the one of the biggest SEND recruitment agencies and are currently seeking a Teacher to support the learning and development of children with special needs. Currently working in partnership with an exceptional special school that provides a high standard of education and focuses on students ages 11 to 16 with on-going social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH).
They are desperately seeking a positive, enthusiastic Teacher to start immediately with a focus on the core subjects Maths, English, Science, or Geography. The successful Teacher will be confident and adaptable in working Key Stage 2 / KS2 to Key Stage 4 / KS4 helping them to meet their goals and giving them 1 to 1 support. The role is temporary with the potential of a permanent position for the right candidate.
The successful Teacher will have the following:
Experience working with SEMH
A QTS – ECTs are welcome to apply!
A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
Excellent classroom management
