ICT technicians look after schools’ software’s, hardware’s, networks and provide technical support to both the teachers and pupils.
You will need to be able to work as part of a team and by yourself.
You will be required to-
* Providing technical support for both teacher and pupils
* Liaising with suppliers about maintenance
* Run diagnostics and come up with a suitable plan to fix the issue.
* Installing software and upgrading out of date compliances.
* Regularly checking if there are any internet issues.
* Maintaining the schools’ network
* Ensuring that the internet systems are safe for children to use and protect them.
Skills and experience you will need –
* A positive approach to work
* Excellent organisational skills
* Knowledge of IT used within schools.
* Good problem-solving skills.
* An awareness of health and safety, especially within computer appliances
* The ability to work as both an individual or as a team player
* The ability to explain issues to non-technical users.
* The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines set
This position is Monday – Friday, 8.30 to 3.30 within the Preston area.
