What Are We Looking For?

Our Water Technologies business team in Darlington are looking for an experienced Plastic Pipefitter to join us on a permanent basis. You’ll work alongside an established team and be required to fabricate and form pipework and manifolds through the safe use of hand tools, machinery, and other equipment.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:

Comply with Ross-shire Engineering’s Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems

Fabricate pipework from customer samples and/or engineer’s drawings to client & industry specifications.

Undertake maintenance/repair work in existing pipework systems

Lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating and other process piping systems

Safe use of hand tools, machinery and other equipment

Assist other disciplines when required

Accurately record man-hours

Carry out all other tasks as requested within the post holder’s appropriate skill set

Opportunities to work both within our local fabrication workshop and remotely as part of our site installation teams pan UK.

What Do You Need?

Time served and fully qualified, with experience working with multiple plastics including Polypropylene, Polyethylene, PVCU and PVDF.

Experience in plastic fusion methods such as IR fusion is preferred but not essential.

Possession of MSRA, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, and Asbestos awareness certificates is preferred but not essential. Experience in Chemical Dosing would be advantageous.

Full UK Driving Licence
