An education organisation are looking for a Director of People to join and lead a HR Team in a true strategic capacity. The role will provide an opportunity to modernise the HR function, looking at making things more effective. The role is based in London, looking for a start from November ideally with previous commercial sector experience.

Director of People to:
– Lead the HR function in a true strategic capacity
– Continue to establish the HR function in a modern and strategic way
– A key opportunity to truly shape the role and HR function
– Continue to implement the existing HR strategy and look to shape the new strategy
– Oversee the development of innovative resourcing strategies
– Lead the implementation of a new performance management systems
– Provide strategic advice to the senior leadership and management teams
– Develop an effective induction processes
– Develop an effective appraisal system
– Develop a new learning management system as well as any L&D initiatives
– Develop a diversity and inclusion strategy as well as develop any DEI initiatives
– Develop policies and processes that are required
– Cultural change: shape a more flexible working approach to the organisation, looking at new ways of working
– Identify and implement HR projects including engagement, organisational development and modernisation
Profile
Director of People with:
– Previous experience of developing and implementing a HR strategy
– CIPD level 7 desirable
– Strong experience of effective leadership and managing a HR Team, whilst operating at a strategic level
– Experience of working within the commercial sector is preferred
– Strong experience of diversity and inclusion strategy and initiatives
– Previous experience leading an organisation through change
