Oakleaf Partnership are working with a Not for Profit organisation who are seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to join and support an established ER team. Each Advisor will look after a particular business division of the organisation and will play a critical role in fostering positive employee relations. This is fantastic opportunity to join an organisation that are passionate about their people and have ambitious plans for growth. This is a hybrid role based in Sale that requires one day a week in the office.

What is the role?

As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will play a critical role in fostering positive employee relations, ensuring fair treatment and promoting a healthy workplace culture. You will act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance on a variety of employee relations matters, from conflict resolution and disciplinary issues to policy interpretation and workplace best practices.

Key responsibilities:

Provide advice to managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations issues, including grievance, disciplinary actions, performance and absence management.
Conduct investigations into workplace disputes and ensure fair and consistent outcomes.
Mediate and resolve conflicts in a professional and constructive manager.
Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies and best practices.
Draft and update employee relations policies and procedures, ensuring they are relevant and legally compliant.
Support change management initiatives and provide coaching to managers on handling sensitive employee relations issues
Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to create and maintain a positive, inclusive and productive workplace environment.
Candidate profile/experience

The successful candidate will have proven experience in an Employee Relations or HR Advisory role. You will have a strong understanding of employment law and best practice, with excellent communication skills that enable you to build rapport at all levels. You will be experienced in handling complex casework, possess strong problem-solving skills and have a solution-focused approach. CIPD qualification is desirable not essential.
