Your new school
Hays Education are working in partnership with a primary school in the central Bristol area who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to help a child with ASD within the EYFS reception class. The school are a friendly, nurturing and inclusive community and put the learning and safety of the children in what they do. This role will require you to start after the summer holidays and commit long term.
Your new role
This role will require you to work in partnership with the class Teacher and help support the child from 08.30–15.30. The school are looking to recruit the right Teaching Assistant Monday – Fridays. The ideal candidate needs to be patient, with a warm and friendly attitude who has the passion and determination, to succeed through challenging situations on a daily basis.
The role will be predominantly based in reception which will involve supporting the classroom teacher and pupils alike, therefore you must boast an adaptable attitude and have the ability to think on your feet for successful results.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will have specific school-based experience in a Teaching Assistant job
Two previous long term placement references completed
It is desirable to hold NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification and a grade C or above in Maths and English at GCSE level
