Hays are working on behalf of a leading company in the Letterkenny area to recruit a Technical Account Manager / Customer Account Manager to join their team. Over the last few years, this company has experienced tremendous growth and has doubled its workforce as a result. This is a fantastic opportunity to further your career within a leading organisation. The role is 39 hours per week (8am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs & 8am-3:30pm on a Friday). This department is flexible, so employees can start at 7am if they want to finish at 3:30pm Mon-Thurs. This is a hybrid role, which is 3 days on site and 2 days from home (Monday & Friday).
Your new role
As Technical Account Manager / Customer Account Manager, your role will be to d evelop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations to customers, preparing quotations and lead follow-up.
In your role as Technical Account Manager / Customer Account Manager, you will manage relationships with key accounts and ensure customer satisfaction at all levels. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining contacts in the customer and manufacturing communities. Developing/reviewing price quotes, negotiating contracts and reviewing sales agreements with business customers. You will troubleshoot/resolve customer complaints and issues, following-up as required. You will develop accounts by checking customers’ buying history, suggesting related and new products or applications and explaining technical features. Coordinate on-site sales calls with outside sales reps, conduct sales ‘cold calls’ on prospective new customers and undertake account follow-up calls. You will also work closely with other departments, including Business Development Managers, Quality, Production and materials, to ensure delivery of exceptional customer service. You will be tasked with growing sales through your activity, responsiveness and professionalism.
What you’ll need to succeed
As Technical Account / Customer Account Manager, essentially, you will be able to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike, be solution orientated and focused on customer satisfaction, have the ability to handle complex tasks in a technical environment and be able to prioritise multiple tasks. Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate customer account management experience within a manufacturing / technical environment, have strong B2B experience and possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
