We are working with a high-performing Secondary School in Ealing who are searching for bright graduates to join them as an Academic Mentor in September, for the full academic year. The school is partnered with three other schools in the local area, making them the highest performing multi academy trust in the entire country. They are looking to hire graduates to support students of all abilities, including those with SEN & SEMH. This Academic Mentor position is the perfect opportunity for someone with aspirations to become a teacher, psychologist, counsellor and more.

You will be working with supportive teachers who can help with your development and really guide you through your role. You will be expected to work closely with multiple students of different ages and abilities (including those with SEN) in group and 1:1 scenarios.

This school would love someone who can use their imagination and creativity to engage the students and really solidify the curriculum for them as well as being their support through their time in school.

This is a great opportunity for those looking to become a Teacher as, after the 2024/25 academic year, you will be able to join the Salaried Teacher Training scheme where your training fees will be covered.

About the Academic Mentor role:

Academic Support Worker
Full-time, long-term role
September start 2024
£24k per annum
Supporting students with the subjects they need extra help with
Completing 1:1 and group interventions to really go into detail about specific curriculum
Working closely with class Teachers to know what areas they would like to cover
Opportunity to train as a teacher in your chosen subject after one full academic year
Monday – Friday, 8:30-4pm
Located in EalingIdeal Academic Mentor candidate:

Bright Graduate with a 1st class or 2:1 degree
To be able to use creativity and imagination to engage the students
Be confident in your chosen curriculum
Confident to work with students in KS3, KS4 and KS5 (11-18 year olds)
