We have a permanent job opportunity available for an Accounts Manager, offering a salary up to £40,000, depending on your experience. Benefits include holiday, pension, free on-site car parking, and regular team building treats/events.
Their office is based in Gravesend, and their site is currently being refurbished, during the refurbishment you will be based in a lovely serviced office in Maidstone until April, both offices have free on-site car parking. You will be working within an office with five other people, and they are looking for a friendly and approachable team player, to fit into their great team. You will be solely responsible for the accounts function of the business, working closely with their accountant. This is a superb opportunity to make the role your own. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am until 5 pm and unfortunately, they cannot offer part-time, hybrid, or remote working.
As the Accounts Manager your duties will include…
* Using Sage accounting software.
* Recording and reconciling all incoming and outgoing financial transactions received.
* Issuing invoices and receipts to clients for money received.
* Resolving outstanding payments and sending statements.
* Ensuring that financial records meet with company standards.
* Compiling financial reports.
* Maintaining accurate and detailed customer records and creating new customer accounts.
* Building a good rapport with clients and providing an accounting team with relevant information.
* Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need…
* Experience including the duties above.
* Sold accounts experience, ideally around 10-15 years.
* Confidence to manage the accounts function of the business.
* Your own transport, due to the office locations.
* Advanced Sage knowledge is essential.
* Knowledge of CIS (the Construction Industry Scheme tax framework) would be beneficial, but this is not essential.
