Administrative Officer



Job Description:
RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with A local Council who are looking to recruit an Administrative Officer with particular responsibility for processing the Council’s responses to planning applications and supporting the Planning and Infrastructure Committee.

This important role involves attendance at regular evening meetings (average 2 per month). The successful candidate will be an integral part of a friendly team, including other Officers and Councillors.

The successful applicant will have strong IT skills and a solid administrative background, including demonstrable evidence of minute-taking. Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential as liaison is required not only internally with other staff and Councillors but also with external agencies and authorities. The successful applicant must have the ability to work unsupervised to meet statutory deadlines. Working knowledge of the Town and Country Planning process will be a distinct advantage, as would previous experience in local authority administration.
