Assembler/Solderer

Our client, a renowned company in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Assembler to join their team in Waterlooville, Hants on a Temp to perm basis. This role combines board level assembly along with box build, reporting directly to the Production Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

PCBA assembly involving SMT and PTH soldering
Cable assembly, utilising crimp tools
Electro mechanical assembly
Working from customer BOMs and drawings to meet required standards
PCBA rework

Job Requirements:

Experience/knowledge of IPC 610
Proficiency in PTH/SMT soldering to a minimum of IPC610 class 2
Excellent component recognition and knowledge
Ability to work with fine pitch components under a microscope
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to understand and clearly convey technical information
Ability to prioritise a busy workload and excel under pressure
Inspection experience is advantageous but not essential

Working Conditions:

Contract position with the opportunity to transition to permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 15:30
