Electrical Authorised Person / Senior Authorised Person (AP / SAP)
*Candidates must hold either an Irish or EU passport to be eligible for this position.
Package: Excellent salary packages available + benefits (negotiable dependant on experience) + single occupancy, flights & accommodation, $250 a week subsistence allowance.
Working Pattern: 3 weeks on, on the 3rd week fly home on Wednesday, back on site for Monday on the 1st flight.

Requirements:
The Authorised Person will supervise a team of Electrical Engineers and Supervisors as they carry out Electrical Works, ensuring that the project programme is adhered to.
Engages early in the project with the Site Management team, following the agreed Electrical Safe Systems of Work Procedure under the direction of the Lead Appointed Person.
Ensures all personnel on site are aware of and comply with the Electrical Safe Systems of Work.
Issues and manages Permits for all Energised working activities within the scope of work.
Reviews and fully understands project specifications and drawings, extracting the specific requirements for the project.
Follows strict operational procedures and adheres to High Voltage Safety Rules.
Interprets basic electrical protection under fault conditions.
Completes safety documents and lockout/tagout procedures and philosophies.
Carries out a review of Switchgear Distribution Topology and Controls prior to start-up.
Supports and liaises with specialist Testing & Commissioning contractors to carry out early reviews and agree commissioning sequences and test scripts.
Coordinates with Control System providers (Scada/BMS/EMS, etc.) in the development of the system handover under permit control schedules and protocols.
Supports the initial start-up and energisation of equipment, following the agreed Electrical Safe Systems of Work plan for MV/LV Systems.
Witnesses and coordinates specific tests, ensuring that all documentation is completed according to regulations and project specifications.
Ensures that all pre- and post-energisation testing and commissioning tagging activities are witnessed by the required parties and signed off as accepted.
Identifies and ensures the availability and calibration of all necessary test equipment.
