Here at TSA Surveying we are recruiting on behalf of an established consultancy for a Freelance Building Surveyor. This short-term role involves conducting fabric condition surveys on a further education property using a handheld device.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake detailed fabric condition surveys, assessing building materials, finishes, and structural components.
* Use a handheld device to record and report survey findings accurately.
* Identify defects, maintenance needs, and risks, providing clear and actionable insights.
* Work closely with the consultancy team to deliver high-quality results on time.
Candidate Requirements:
* Demonstrable experience conducting building condition surveys, ideally within further education or similar institutional properties.
* Strong technical knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and defect diagnosis.
* Experience with handheld devices and software for data collection and reporting.
* Excellent attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Must be compliant with IR35 regulations and eligible to work within this framework.
