Purpose of the position: Reporting to the Director, enterprise sales, this is a customer facing role and you will be responsible for developing opportunities, with a focus on the acquisition of new business and development of high potential Business Solution Partners. You will work directly with end customers cultivating SMART Technologies as an interactive standard within those accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Your duties will encompass a broad spectrum of tasks within the Solutions business unit. You will be expected to devote you full time and attention to your duties at SMART. As SMART continues to grow and its business requirements change, your duties within this position will evolve. Your specific duties will include: Build relationships with strategically chosen re-sellers to activate SMART products in chosen markets

Specific focus will be on acquisition of new business development

Create and execute against Business plans to address SMART opportunities

Execute the business plan, with emphasis on developing and maintaining strong business relationships at Senior levels within this geography

Develop and implement strategies to drive transactional sales

Ensure the company successfully meets agreed revenue, profitability and market share targets.

Promote and raise the profile of the SMART solution offerings, ensuring that the company achieves positive brand equity and captures market/mind share.

Develop a comprehensive customer relations strategy and monitor its effectiveness through regular contact with customers

Education & Work Experience: Comprehensive experience in sales role

Understanding of channel landscape either at Vendor, Distributor or Re-seller level

Excellent organizational, planning and problem-solving skills

Superior interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships

Energy, enthusiasm and a team-focused mentality, with proven ability to work cross-functionally and think strategically

Strong presenting and closing skills, with the ability to negotiate issues with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy

Sales Force familiarity

Ability to prioritize in a dynamic, changing environment

Ability to work with limited coaching

Supervision: This position has no direct reports

Working Conditions: Home-based role, fast-paced work environment

We are open to candidates who live in the following cities: New York, Seattle, D.C., Chicago, and Calgary

Travel up to 50% of time depending on the time of year
