Business Development Manager Connectors / Power Supply



Job Description:
We are working with an industry leader in the industrial & maritime sector currently on the lookout for a Business Development Manager to join their team to take authority over developing existing key accounts and generate new business within the Industrial sectors, supported by a small internal sales team.

Candidates must have experience of selling bespoke or designed in equipment into industrial and maritime industries, candidates from rolling stock, commercial agriculture and other related industries may also be considered provided you have extensive experience in a similar classic BDM role. This is a home-based role with travel to an office in the south required approximately once a fortnight, and candidates must be self-starters, happy building opportunities from the ground up, comfortable discussing products in technical environments.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful Business Development Manager will take responsibility for revenue in defined vertical markets for a particular range of successful product which can be manufactured in the UK to bespoke specifications, role is UK centric currently in terms of market. You will be an integral part of the ongoing development of their go-to-market strategy, identifying market opportunities, arranging meetings with technical specialists at target organisations with the purpose of winning contracts for the provision of equipment. You will contribute and deliver a growth plan, and work closely alongside the in-house engineering team to assist with product development, utilising market knowledge to grow existing accounts and bring new products to market.
