Specialists in ultrafast communications technology, this company develops high speed hardware and software solutions for finance industry clients. Due to continued success, they are now seeking an outstanding C++ Software Engineer with expertise in developing robust and extremely optimised code. If you are the type of developer that enjoys making features execute in the bare minimum of clock cycles, then this is for you!

This is an excellent opportunity to join their development team, pick up additional skills, technologies, and expertise through mentoring and experience, and to progress within the company. You would be involved throughout the software development lifecycle from initial concepts through implementation to final testing. You would have opportunities to become involved in new technologies as the team explore new avenues for further increasing performance.

You will need:
• A first or 2.1 in computer science, mathematics, or other relevant STEM subject
• Excellent coding skills in C++ and a good technical understanding of the inner workings of the language. You will be au fait with subjects such as standard data structures and their optimal use, memory management, thread synchronisation and inter-process communication, and strategies to minimise execution time.
• Full existing right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship

The company are based in pleasant modern offices in Cambridge, and a hybrid work pattern allows scope for home working for a day or two per week. A highly competitive salary and benefits are on offer to the successful candidate.
