As a Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving category growth and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing tailored category strategies that address consumer needs, influence shopper behaviour, and drive business success. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to unlock growth opportunities and optimize category performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day relationships with customers to identify opportunities for profitable category growth.
Deliver recommendations for optimal distribution, range, space, and merchandising layouts to enhance category performance.
Analyse, review and validate key customer commercial activities to drive category success.
Oversee the management of own brand innovation ranges, refresh, and identification of customer-specific own brand opportunities.
Collaborate with senior reports to manage category spending effectively.
Support the development of best-in-class ways of working and functional plans.
Implement budget tracking and reporting processes to monitor category performance.
Maximize ROI and shopper measures both internally and externally.
About You:
3+ years of category experience, ideally with own label exposure.
Exceptional relationship-building and customer-facing skills to influence at various levels.
Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, trend insight, and understanding shopper journeys, with a willingness to develop further skills in broader marketing.
Thrive in a fast-paced, consumer/shopper-centric environment and enjoy frequent customer interaction
