We are proud to be supporting this private business with national footprint and capability specialising in delivering Design and Construction solutions to the commercial sector. The business is at a point of maturity to embrace this critical leadership hire that will work closely with ELT to clearly define, articulate and drive the strategy through to successful exit.
This newly created CFO role requires a seasoned operator who will help develop the strategic roadmap and then partner the business to drive sales growth, targets and profitability through to an exit event. You will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for leading the company’s financial strategy, planning, and operations. You will provide strategic financial insights, manage risk, and support the delivery of sustainable growth.
The role requires a hands-on leader with strong financial acumen, deep commercial understanding, and the ability to implement robust financial systems and governance processes. You will align systems, processes and KPI’s to strategic goals and work with the ELT to cascade these down through the organisation ensuring all leaders are engaged and have ownership/ accountability. You are an experienced operator with the strength to lead negotiations with potential buyers, investors and other external parties as well as hold people accountable through frank and reasoned discussion whilst maintaining professionalism and respect. You are CPA/CA qualified with previous experience in the Construction & Built sector who can think strategically but also possess the ability to “get into the weeds” to understand the detail. You will be able to demonstrate taking businesses through a scale up journey and comfortable operating in complex mid sized entities with prior experience of delivering an exit event – either trade sale or Private Equity investment.
This highly visible and financially rewarding challenge will suit a finance leader that backs themselves to support a rapidly growing business to realise aggressive but achievable targets.
