Commissioning Engineer
Job Summary:
A leading power solutions and service hire organisation with contracts in place all over the United Kingdon are recruiting now for a Commissioning Engineer to join them on a full time, permanent basis as a direct result of company growth. This power solutions provider specialise in supporting a variety of critical sites and industries. The ideal candidate for this Commissioning Engineer opportunity will have a full, valid UK driving licence and will be experienced is the service and commissioning of a wide variety of generator sets. The successful Commissioning Engineer will be required to travel across the UK to support commissioning and servicing activities. Where desired, there are ample opportunities for overtime for the Commissioning Engineer.
Commissioning Engineer
Key Responsibilities and Desired Experience:
* Conduct site visits to assess generator installations and prepare for commissioning.
* Collaborate with project teams to develop commissioning plans and schedules.
* Perform functional tests, load tests, and performance tests on generators.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to generator operation.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during commissioning.
* Provide technical support to field technicians during installation and commissioning.
* Document commissioning activities, test results, and any modifications made.
* Train end-users on generator operation and maintenance
* Willing to Travel and work away (with a compensation package)
* NVQ or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field
* Be able to understand and complete risk assessments.
* Ability to interpret and follow electrical drawings and schedules.
* City & Guilds 18th edition electrical regulations (or equivalent).
* Hold a Full UK driving licence.
