The Role:
Seeking qualified Consultant Psychiatrists for various positions in Western Australia.
- MP Year 1-9 $370,202 – $471,678 p.a. (inclusive of base salary, 11% superannuation and applicable allowances)
- Permanent and fixed-term appointments. Full-time, part-time and sessional opportunities exist.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist you will:
- Promote patient safety and quality care.
- Provide leadership, training, supervision, and education to doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners, and other health workers.
- Collaborate with the Medical Co-Director, Service Director, Head of Department, Clinical Leads, and other Consultants to meet national, state, and local performance standards and targets.
The Hospital:
The Health Service(s) offer a comprehensive range of public mental health services for individuals aged 16 and above, provided through community mental health services and hospitals. There are two major mental health divisions that serve different suburbs within the East Metropolitan areas.
The Location:
East Perth is a vibrant and rapidly developing suburb located just east of Perth’s central business district. It is known for its scenic waterfront along the Swan River, picturesque parks, and modern residential and commercial developments. The area features a mix of trendy cafes, restaurants, and shops, as well as cultural and recreational facilities. Requirements:
- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge, clinical experience, judgement, and skills in the practice of psychiatry including in associated diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
