Job summary
For one of our major clients in oil&gas industry, we are looking for a Control Room Supervisor/Panel Operator that will be part of the Operations Readiness team and who will:
-ensure delivery of the design of the Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS).
-act as the focal Operations point for the design of the physical Control Room (for e.g. layout, ergonomics, HMI).
-participate in the design and tests of the Operator Training Simulator (OTS).
-participate to the development of the operating manuals and procedures.
-set-up the tools and systems that will be used during the operations phase in the Control Room (electronic CCR log book, registers, etc…).
-at the end of the project phase, take charge of the active role of Control Room Supervisor, acting in the Control Room onshore, sitting in the driving seat for safe initial start-up of the facilities towards stable operations.
-monitor and control of the entire producton system, in a safe, efficient, and optimized manner in close collaboration with the rest of the Operations team.
Responsibilities
Support the design and model part of the OTS.
Support the engineering, design, fabrication and comissioning activities in relation to the ICSS; especially with respect to functionalities, operator interfaces and alarm management.
Participate in and validate the „Factory Acceptance Test” of the ICSS and the OTS.
Participate in the commissioning of the entire „Control Room” setup.
Provide operational inputs for the physical design of the Control Room (such as layout, stations, ergonomics, circulations, selection of furnitures, etc.).
Develop own Control Room operations skills and competencies in relation to the Neptun Deep ICSS and operating procedures in preparation for the start-up. This incldues familirization with the real-time Process twin.
Setup interface with Mid-stream Operations and participate in development of the briding document.
Participate in the development of the Operating manuals and detailed Operating procedures.
Set-up the tools and systems that will be used during the operations phase (electronic CCR log book, registers, etc…)
operate the integrated Process Control System (PCS) within the Operating Envelope; permanently monitoring the process (subsea and surface) & utilities variables and executing corrective actions as required.
Manage and monitor the alarm signals generated by exceeding the parameter predefined limits or by the faulty operation of equipment or instruments.
React to signals and actions of the Emergency Shutdown System (ESD). Initiate emergency shutdown of the station and or platform if necessary.
Operate the Fire and Gas Detection System. Monitor and act in case alarms occur.
Monitor and optimize, through the PCS and interractions with the Process Twin, the entire gas flow from the wells to delivery point at the Natural Gas Metering Station; ensuring that sales gas commercial specifications and daily nominations are met and take immediate actions to anticipate and correct deviations.
Optimize chemical injection rates and energy consumption.
Optimize energy consumption and GHG emissions (for e.g. via TEG package optimimum operations).
Perform facilities/unit/equipment shutdown and start-up as per approved procedures.
Record timely and accurately, in the CCR log book, the main events and activities of the shift and handover to incoming shift and for reporting purpose.
Manage interface with Mid-stream operations representative on a operational basis.
Communicate with the Field Support Vessel (FSV) and personnel onboard the offshore platform when manned.
Support equipment/unit/plant isolation for maintenance, in compliance with Procedures and PTW System.
Initiate Risk Assemement before putting in place Override/Inhibit/Block via the ICSS.
Responsible for recording – and keeping the Inhibits/Overrides/Isolations/EPIs/etc… registers updated.
Be part of the Emergency Response Team and apply the Emergency Response Plan and other Emergency Procedures established at Station and Asset level; ensuring the safety of personnel and installations
Operate and monitor the CCTV, weather station and Ship Identification systems.
Communicate with onshore and offshore Helicopter Operators when Helicopter operation is initiated.
Draw up activity and hand-over reports to the next shift with all required information.
Initiate ICSS modification proposal / MoC to improve ICSS (for e.g. logic, graphic, tuning, alarms management) in order to enhance safety, production performance and plant up-time.
Propose and initiate modifications to improve Operating Procedures.
Train and coach other operators in Control Room operations, as part of the succession and contigency plans.
Prepare the daily Production and Operation Report to the Senior Expert Operations.
Raise notifications in CMMS to initiate corrective maintenance activities.
Initiate and participate to Root Cause Analysis for each recorded loss of production.
Inform and advise the Senior Expert Operations on all aspects related to the installation: safety, process, equipment and personnel.
Requirements
Bachelor degree in process, instrumentation or similar formal education.
Specialized knowledge in oil and gas processes. incl. control and safety systems and critical equipment such as separator, dehydration, gas turbine, hydrates, motors, pumps, F&G, ESD, SECE.
Previous experience in Control Room Operations and/or Field Operations on an extraction facility.

Understand data acquisition and transmission systems.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
English language – intermediate level.
Analytical capacity on issues solving and troubleshooting.
Computer literacy.
Understand HSSE requirements and the permit to work system.
