We are currently recruiting for a Cook to join our team at Colchester Institute, CO3 3LL

£13 per hour – equated
Full time – 35 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 7am – 2.30pm – no evenings or weekends!
Term time only – 36 working weeks per year

What you’ll be doing

Preparing and cooking food, working from specific menu plans
Preparation of hot/cold food
Placing orders and stock taking/rotating
Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment
Ensure food is correctly stored according to food safety policies and guidelines
Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment and utensils
Present and garnish food and portions
Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers and co workers
Assisting in the compilation of all shift opening and closing checklists

Experience:

Previous kitchen/cooking experience is required
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
E learning is available through our online learning system to obtain Food Safety Level 2/3 certificate
