Corporate Recovery/Insolvency Manager: WFH by default

Permanent

HAYS

**Work remotely by default** & *Chose your path : stay delivery-focused or be developed to Appointment Taker*
Your new company

Our client is an independent UK firm with a decades-long reputation in Corporate Recovery and Contentious/Litigation. Teams are divided into functionalities, including a well-established and uniquely structured Business Development team. Due to a Manager deciding to move over to this BD function a team leader role for the core delivery team has arisen at the firm. The pandemic demonstrated to this firm that they could be successful and grow without a full return to the office, so you’d be working remotely by default and simply need to be available for any in-person client contact needed.

While the HQ is in London, there is the ability to be based anywhere in England or Wales as long as you can come in for any necessary client meetings. There are regional hubs that you can be based from as well, as necessary.

Your new role

Reporting directly to Partners – no unnecessary layers in between you and them

Leading the core delivery team, with caseload of circa 100-120 cases
Caseload includes administrations, liquidations and personal cases of varying sizes and complexity
Holding pre-appointment discussions/meetings with partners, shareholders and agents, providing relevant advice and guidance as required
Overseeing the preparation of statutory reports, conducting investigations, reviewing/analysing financial statements, and quality control
Keeping partners in the loop with suggestions, updates and solutions
Shaping the strategy for the team and function

What you’ll need to succeed

You’re “the face of the case” so great client communication skills are key!

The team will benefit from your existing leadership and mentoring experience, and you yourself will see people development as an enjoyable part of your role

JIEB qualified ideally, or desire to be so (in which the firm would support you) Either way, being up to date technically and being able to apply and interpret that knowledge is crucial

An existing Insolvency Manager or possibly Senior Manager with UK experience

What you’ll get in return
Genuine choice of pathway: a definite and supported route to Partnership or if preferred, a long-term senior managerial position within the firm.
Working remotely by default
Learning from high profile Partners in the industry
Supported by proper infrastructure – a clerical team, a marketing/business development team and so on. Empowering you to do the front-line job!
