Education Sales Consultant – UK

Your duties will encompass a broad spectrum of tasks primarily focusing on developing the end user customer base for SMART. Some of the specific duties will include:

Focus on business development and acquisition into key Education customers as well as planning the engagement across the whole sector including how to engage at scale with the diverse Education Departments and Establishments.

Build and maintain sustainable relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders in the Education Sector.

Create and execute Business plans, maximising SMART’s positioning and sales successes.

Sell the entire SMART product portfolio and have the full support of the Technical and Marketing teams.

Have the experience, credibility and gravitas to operate at very senior levels within these complex customer organisations and needs to operate in political environments with multiple decision makers and sensitive public messages.

Presenting SMART education solutions to decision makers and executives within education customers

Working with SMART’s marketing and product management teams in Calgary to align selling efforts and market conditions

Develop programs to drive the creation of local content available for SLS (i.e. content creation seminars, lesson of the week, publishers)

Drive the SCTC and certified trainers to make training available in the entire region and to have SMART training compliant and certified for teacher revalidation

Planning and executing strategies to increase education solutions sales while minimizing potential conflicts within sales channel

Identifying potential alliances that may bolster SMART’s presence in the education markets

Providing support at local and regional trade shows, seminars, conferences and customer events

Identifying third-party solutions that complement SMART education solutions

Providing timely, high-quality sales activity reports

Performing other duties as required

Skills Required: Outstanding interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must be a self-starter with technology and have the ability to learn new skills independently

Ability to work in a cross functional, multi-national team environment

A strong working knowledge of SMART’s products and software and the ability to learn new SMART solutions as they are introduced is required

Ability to present in front of large groups with the confidence and knowledge of both hardware and software as presentation tools

Ability to self-motivate

Good time-management, record-keeping and planning skills

Education and work experience

Ideally hold a degree in business, education, marketing or a related field

Experience working with Educators

Proven aptitude for developing relationships with key decision makers

Strong ability to analyze and solve problems

Preferably, experience with SMART products

A valid passport, or no impediment to obtaining one

Supervision: This position has no direct reports

Additional Details: Home based role preferably London / Southern England location with up to 80% travel
