What You’ll Be Doing
As an E&I Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving the electrical and instrumentation systems that keep our terminal running safely and efficiently. Your day-to-day work will include:
🔧 Routine & reactive maintenance – MCC inspections, hazardous area checks, motor testing, RCD testing, and lightning protection checks.
⚡ Fault finding & troubleshooting – Diagnosing MCC faults, motor issues, earth faults, and electrical failures.
🔍 Ensuring compliance & safety – Performing electrical isolations, reviewing risk assessments, and supervising contractors.
🛠 Project support – Assisting with terminal upgrades and process improvements.
🚨 On-call support – Being part of our emergency response team.
What We’re Looking For
✔ BTEC/NVQ or Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering
✔ COMPEX 01-04 Certification
✔ BS7671 (Latest Edition) Qualified
✔ 5+ years’ experience in the Petrochemical or Chemical industry
✔ Safety Instrumented System awareness
✔ Additional certifications (IPAF 3A & 3B, PASMA, Asbestos Awareness, Working at Heights, HV Awareness) are a plus!
