About the Role: The Field Engineer is responsible for providing highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. The role is base on-site with one of our key clients.

We are a pretty agile company, and are keen to respond to customer, technology and internal stakeholders’ changing requirements and this can mean we evolve in our roles to meet those needs.

Please note: Due to the security requirements of our customers, this role is only available to New Zealand Citizens and/or Permanent Residents having lived in NZ for min. 5 consecutive years.

Experience

2+ years of preferred IT experience.

Experience with installation, diagnoses and repair of pc systems, end user devices and software (e.g. laptops, desktops, tables, Intune, O365, current Windows Operating Systems)

Working familiarity with server and networking equipment

Skills: Full drivers license and own vehicle (mileage allowance payable). Ability to work on assignments of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Understands implications of work and exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements. Ability to frequently interact and network with a variety of stakeholders and team members within own area of expertise. Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organisational goals. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to translate user needs into a technical solution. Excellent customer relationship building and management skills. Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information across various levels. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders. Strong consultative and planning skills

Role and Responsibilities: Serving as the company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. Interpreting customers’ needs and clarify if the responsibility for problem resolution falls to sales personnel, customer support reps, or engineers. May include any aspect of field support, and is not limited to system hardware and software, PCs, and networking/wireless networking.
