This is a full-time permanent role. Your time will be split between out client’s office & workshop in the Cork area and field travel across Ireland with overnight stays on occasion.

The role of Field Service Engineer – Valves:

* Reporting to the Operations Manager this position is responsible for the inspection, repair, and assembly of Process Control equipment

* In-house service assembly/overhaul/test of our client’s product portfolio with focus on valve related items

* The role will consist of a mix of work both in the workshop and on customer sites including overnight stays

* Trouble shooting and repair of customer products and providing accurate repair reports

* Operation of company related equipment such as Forklifts, Tools & Testing equipment

* Responsibility for meeting related workshop schedules in coordination with company requirements

* Ensure appropriate safety guidelines including the use of personal protective equipment are adhered to

* Upkeep / maintenance of workshop – Including company Tools, Equipment & Assets

* Adherence to companies ISO 9001:2015 Quality, and Health & Safety procedures

The requirements for the Field Service Engineer – Valves:

* Self-starter with the ability to work on your own initiative and, also as part of a team

* High level of knowledge/expertise of mechanical & electronic process control equipment

* Technical problem solving & trouble shooting ability

* A flexible and innovative approach to work

* Excellent interpersonal / communication skills

* The ability to work with people at all levels of the organization both internally and externally

* The ability to write detailed reports such as site visits, repair reports

* Ability to travel in Ireland with overnight stays on occasion

* Mechanical engineering academic &/or trade qualification

* Electrical/Electronic engineering experience &/or qualification would also be advantageous
