Fire Risk Assessor – Local Authority

We are seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join our clients team based in Cambridge on a contract basis for 3+ months.

Location: CB4 0GU
Start date: ASAP
Contract duration: 3+ months
Working hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 hours p/w
Pay rate: £20.31 p/h PAYE or £22.76 p/h Umbrella

As the Fire Risk Assessor, your duties will include:

Ensure all fire associated accidents and incidents are fully investigated, appropriately reported and that appropriate effective and timely corrective action is taken in response.
Act as the Department’s technical expert in all fire related matters and act as the first point of contact in such matters for internal and external stakeholders.
Provide advice, support and training to managers and staff across the Department to inform and assist them in the fulfilment of their fire associated compliance responsibilities.Skills and experience:

Extensive experience of working in fire risk management in a built environment including stock surveying and risk assessment (ideally including working for a substantial period for the Fire Brigade Service).
Professional qualification in fire risk management (minimum NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management or equivalent).
