This is a great opportunity to join an established medical team at Farmfield Hospital in Charlwood, Surrey and make a real difference to men who have enduring mental health problems. As a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, you will take on RC responsibility for up to 15 male service users on the medium and low secure wards, with the support of a multi-professional team.

Main duties of the job

As a Consultant, you’ll know what it means to lead a team. To always strive for better. You will ensure that people admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safely, manage medication, deliver NICE guidance, and lead the CPA and ICR process to ensure full compliance with quality standards. You will have the support of a non-consultant grade doctor and secretarial support.

Job responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure that people admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safely
  • Medication management
  • Quality assurance, complaints and co-production
  • Delivery of NICE guidance
  • Lead and manage the CPA and ICR process to ensure full compliance with quality standards
