Glazing Designer

Future Build Recruitment are currently working alongside one of clients who are looking to add a Glazing Designer to the team. The client are a specialist contractor who specialise in Glass Partitions and Fire Doors across the UK. Working on a range of projects including Residential, Commercial, Education and Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities –

* Develop detailed design drawings & technical specifications for a wide range of glazing systems, including unitised & stick curtain walling, fire-rated door systems, and associated door hardware.

* Work closely with project managers, architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the designs meet project requirements.

* Ensure all designs are accurate and align with the contractor’s standards for safety, performance, and aesthetics.

* Provide technical assistance to the production and installation teams to ensure the seamless execution of the design and address any design-related challenges on-site.

* Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and glazing technologies to continually improve design solutions.

Experience & Qualifications –

* 5+ Years experience in a similar role in the indsutry.

* Proficient in AutoCAD 2020 ( 2D Design & Fabrication drawings)

* Experience with Revit(BIM) Desirable.

* Expertise and relevant experience in unitised & stick curtain walling, fire rated door systems, door hardware.

* Detail-oriented, methodical, and calm under pressure.

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams).
