Reed are looking for a Senior Associate or Principal level who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment, who can confidently navigate complexity, and who understands the value of connecting people, policy and purpose. In this role, you will shape how the organisation engages with government departments and ensure that the voice is clear, timely and authoritative.

What you will be doing

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing strong, trusted relationships across the business and with government counterparts
Acting as the first point of contact for government queries and communication
Coordinating briefings, meetings and engagement activities to ensure alignment and preparedness
Monitoring, interpreting and advising on policy developments and legislative changes
Producing clear, concise reports and presentations for varied audiences
Maintaining oversight of activity across multiple working groups and policy forums
Working collaboratively across internal teams to ensure consistent and effective engagementWhat you will bring

Experience, skills and knowledge

Experience either working in Whitehall or dealing with and influencing Whitehall
Ideally has worked for a regulator previously
The ability to manage multiple priorities, work to tight deadlines and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
Experience of building and maintaining effective relationships internally and externally
Ability to analyse complex information and develop sound, well‑reasoned advice
Experience working flexibly and collaboratively in a rapidly evolving environment
Clear, adaptable written and verbal communication skills suitable for different audiencesSecurity requirements

A Basic DBS Certificate (applied through Reed)
A driver’s licence or passport
Verification of three years’ work historyJoin at a pivotal moment
