Head of Finance

Six Degrees are partnering with an up and coming international business who are on a steady growth trajectory. They are looking to hire a Head of Finance to oversee all financial operations of the Australian & NZ subsidiaries, providing commercial, strategic and operational financial leadership while ensuring alignment with Group objectives. This dual-role position encompasses the responsibilities of Financial Controller and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), requiring a strong balance of operational rigour, commerciality and strategic insight.
The role will collaborate closely with the UK-based CFO and the local Australian management team, contributing to the company’s success and long-term growth.

Qualifications & Experience
CPA, CA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
8+ years of progressive experience in financial management roles, including commercial finance business partnering, financial control and FP&A.
Proven track record in managing financial operations, compliance, and strategic planning.
Key competencies
Highly commercial with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate compliance requirements.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience reporting to a geographically remote leadership team.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
