– Assist registered nurses with patient care
– Support patients with daily living activities (e.g., washing, dressing)
– Monitor and record vital signs
– Assist with mobility and transfers
– Maintain a safe and clean environment.
Essential Requirements
1. Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
2. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Manual Handling certification.
3. Immunisations: Up-to-date immunisations, including MMR, DTaP, and Hepatitis B.
4. DBS Check: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Mandatory Certifications
1. Moving and Handling: Training in moving and handling patients.
2. Infection Control: Training in infection control and prevention.
3. Safeguarding: Training in safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.
4. Basic Life Support: Annual updates in basic life support.
5. PMVA
Desirable Requirements
1. Experience: Previous experience working in a healthcare setting.
2. Additional Certifications: Certifications in specialized areas, such as wound care, catheterization, or venepuncture.
3. Language Skills: Ability to communicate in multiple languages.
