In-Plant Ink Technician
AYG Chemical has partnered with a market-leading manufacturer inks and coatings who is seeking a dedicated In-Plant Ink Technician to represent them at a customer’s site.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the existing ink team, bridging the gap between the manufacturer and the customer.
* Blend and distribute inks to print presses, ensuring seamless operations.
* Efficiently manage inventory and uphold a safe working environment.
* Handle press returns pre and post-press operations
* Support printers in colour matching and minimise downtime during make-ready processes.
* Utilise Xrite software for formulation management, colour standards, and off-press operations.
* Maintain a positive, solution-oriented attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
* Prior experience in an in-plant ink technician role is preferred but can consider backgrounds in the printing industry
* Strong eye for colour with an understanding of formulation practices is a plus.
