Investment Analyst 2-Year Program
Location: On Site, Columbia, Missouri

We are accepting applications on a rolling basis. Once you’ve applied, we will reach out to continue the conversation and provide more details about our upcoming hiring timeline.

About us:
Permanent Equity uses 30-year capital to invest with no intention of selling in closely-held companies headquartered in North America. The firm’s current portfolio includes 13 companies in aerospace, niche construction, manufacturing & distribution, consumer products, ad tech, recruitment, and niche professional services.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking driven individuals to join our investment team as Investment Analysts. As an Investment Analyst, you will have the opportunity to play an active role in our firm’s investment process, from identifying potential investments to building relationships with key stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in private equity and contribute to the success of our firm.

As an Investment Analyst, you will be part of our analyst program, which is a two-year, entry-level, full-time role. Over the course of two years, you will have the opportunity to build your skills and knowledge in three distinct phases:

Build Coverage: First 6 Months: To get started, begin to review opportunities and build relationships in a geographic territory. Start to develop your specific preferences by pitching and discussing a Top 10 prospecting list in weekly investment meetings.

Build Voice: Second 6 Months: As you develop literacy and confidence in your opinions, continue to develop your voice, including how to ask “stupid questions” of sellers, how to champion a deal internally, and how to conduct external research that can contribute to deal progression and analysis.

Build Record: Final 12 Months: As you become comfortable with the process and refine your individual skills, begin to develop a record of specific performance in origination and/or analysis within investment themes about which you are particularly enthusiastic.
