An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Lead Quality Engineer to drive innovation and excellence in Generative AI (Gen-AI) quality engineering. My client is seeking a forward-thinking expert who can shape and implement cutting-edge QE strategies, with a strong focus on Gen-AI tools, chatbots, API’s, and AI assistants. This role is not just about technical expertise’s requires a thought leader who can influence, inspire, and guide the organisation on its AI-driven QE transformation journey.

About the Role:

As the Lead Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for establishing a GenAI QE framework, embedding a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring AI solutions meet the highest standards of quality, security, and compliance. You will take a customer-centric approach to evaluate end-to-end processes, assess return on investment, and implement automation frameworks to rigorously test LLMs, security guardrails, data governance, model integrity, and ethical AI standards.

Beyond automation, you will play a key role in AI content auditing, assessing the accuracy, relevance, and safety of GenAI-generated outputs. This role demands a deep understanding of DevSecOps, distributed systems, and scalable architectures, alongside expertise in Python, Java, and AI testing tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop a high-performing QE team, fostering a culture of excellence.
Design and implement AI-focused test automation frameworks to evaluate LLMs, security policies, ethical AI adherence, and risk mitigation.
Define GenAI QE strategies that enhance testing efficiency while ensuring AI models produce high-quality, bias-free, and secure outputs.
Work cross-functionally with stakeholders across AI, engineering, and business teams to drive QE best practices.
Assess and improve content moderation, ensuring AI-generated outputs meet ethical and business standards.
Solve complex engineering challenges using root cause analysis and agile methodologies.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in leading and developing QE teams in AI or software engineering environments.
Strong technical expertise in Gen-AI tools, LLMs, API testing, security governance, and automation frameworks.
Hands-on experience with test automation languages (Python, Java) and AI testing methodologies.
Ability to communicate complex AI testing strategies effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
