Maintenance/Farmhands – West Wyalong

Our client located in West Wyalong , NSW are seeking multiple farmhands and shed hands for their national business to assist in the daily operations of their poultry farm.
The work will have you on your feet for much of your shift completing manual & some repetitive tasks. You would be required to maintain a safe work environment and adhere to quarantine requirements.
Pay Rate- $29.33 per hour
Duties will include:

• Monitoring the feed, water and welfare of poultry
• Handling birds
• Collecting and packing eggs
• Repetitive and physical work
• On your feet for much of your shift
• Loading and moving trolleys
• Assisting with shed clean outs
• Mortality checks
• Refurbishing of sheds

To be considered you must:

• Have current driver s license and reliable transport due to remote farm location
• Do not own any birds pigs or chickens.
• Strong safety focuses and quarantine awareness
• Good time management, be punctual and hardworking
• Ability to work well in a team
• Must be able to work in a dirty/dusty environment.
• Must have full working rights
• Be comfortable with handling eggs and chicken products
• Be a quick learner and have initiative to follow through with tasks on your own
• Be flexible to work shifts and be available for weekend work (Not every weekend)
• The ability to work independently in a team setting
• Be physically fit to undertake manual repetitively lifting
