Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. This role requires proficiency in various engineering tools and software, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all work performed.
Duties
* Interpret and work from schematics, technical drawings, and specifications to perform repairs and maintenance on machinery and equipment.
* Conduct root cause analysis to identify faults and implement effective solutions.
* Utilise SolidWorks, Simulink, MATLAB, and LabView for system design and analysis.
* Operate logic controllers and apply GD&T principles in mechanical design processes.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while working in the workshop or field.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within an engineering environment.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret schematics.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks, Simulink, MATLAB, LabView, and other relevant software tools.
* Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques and logic controllers.
* Understanding of GD&T principles is advantageous.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or related fields are preferred.

Pay: £19.86-£20.00 per hour
