Position: Multi-Skilled Engineer – FMCG

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000
We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a well-established FMCG food manufacturer. The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of production by carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance on a range of machinery and equipment. You will work as part of the engineering team to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency across the site.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair faults on production machinery to minimize downtime.
* Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
* Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations.
* Maintain accurate records and communicate engineering activities effectively.
* Manage stock levels of engineering spares to ensure availability when needed.
* Coordinate with external contractors when required and ensure work areas are left clean and safe.
What We’re Looking For
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Maintenance.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within food manufacturing or FMCG.
* Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
* A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
