Operations Director job vacancy at a 50 headcount business with operations including logistics, warehouse, and some production manufacturing. Operations Director responsibilities:
·Planning operations delivery on a daily, weekly and monthly basis meet customer expectations efficiently. The Operations Director’s remit covers warehousing, logistics and production, and all of the related activities such as H&S, equipment, efficient layout and overheads.
·People management responsibilities include skills development, health and safety, disciplinaries, praise and recognition, staffing levels, and embedding good practice and new methods.
·The Operations Director will be part of the site leadership team and have responsibility for strategic planning around facilities, people, systems, equipment investment and supporting growth opportunities.
·Communication and influencing non-direct reportees will also be important. For example, setting up and embedding commonly understood customer SLA’s with the sales team. These SLA’s should be based on realistic operations capability and also deliver customer excellence.

Skills and Experience:
·Operations Director people management skills suited to manufacturing, warehouse or similar.
·The ability and drive to organise day-to-day and week-to-week operational activities, striking a balance between repeatable drum-beat processes as well as enabling staff anticipate and overcome the unexpected.
·Remain in-touch with the day to day with being drawn into the low level activity.
·Take demonstrable pride in delivering an operations function which is reliable, efficient and cost effective. Measurables include overheads and customer satisfaction.
·Be a team player in the management team, supporting the wider business goals.
