Lloyd Recruitment Services is working with a well-established family-run business in East Grinstead, seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to join their team. This role offers a varied and hands-on workload, supporting financial operations within the construction industry. Sage 50 and CIS experience are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Management – Process payroll accurately using Sage 50
Bank Reconciliation – Maintain and reconcile financial records
Ledger Management – Oversee purchase & sales ledgers, ensuring accuracy
Credit Control – Chase overdue payments and manage outstanding invoices
Tax & Compliance – Prepare and submit CIS & VAT returns
CITB Levy – Manage the CITB Levy process and ensure timely submissions
Month-End & Year-End Support – Assist with financial reporting and reconciliations
Contract Support – Assist Contract Managers with invoicing, payment certificates, and financial documentation
Financial Systems – Maintain and update records, ensuring compliance with company policiesWhat You’ll Need

Essential: Previous bookkeeping experience within the construction industry
Proficiency in Sage 50 – including payroll processing
Strong CIS knowledge – with experience submitting CIS returns
Advanced IT skills – particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
