Part Time Bookkeeper

Location: St Ives, Cambridgeshire

Hours: 30 hours a week across 4 or 5 days (office hours are Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm)

Salary: up to £26,000 per annum pro rata (£13.00 an hour)

Benefits: Hybrid working after training, 21 days holiday + bank holidays, 50% paid cover on private medical insurance, yearly bonus scheme – depending on company performance and team social events.

You will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment building your accountancy knowledge and skills in practice accounts.

What you’ll do:

* Managing client bookkeeping records

* Processing sales and purchase invoices

* Conducting bank reconciliations

* Preparing and submitting VAT returns

* Responding to client queries in a timely manner

* Collaborating closely with the accounts team to ensure accurate financial reporting

What we are looking for:

* Experience with Xero & Sage is advantageous, but we provide comprehensive training

* Candidates should be currently studying towards at least AAT Level 3 and AAT Level 2 may be considered for an exceptional applicant

* Previous experience in a practice is preferred but not essential
