π Exciting Opportunity for a Stay and Play Worker! π
About the Role:
π§π¦ A qualified Stay and Play Worker is needed to provide high-quality stay and play services and crΓ¨che provision for children under 5 and their families, following the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. Contribute to improved outcomes for children and families! π
Integrated Early Yearsβ Service Vision:
π Every child deserves the best start in life and high-quality early education, ready for school by age 5.
Responsibilities:
π Minimum Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent.
π GCSE English and Maths (A-C).
π¨ Deliver universal and targeted stay & play sessions for children under 5, focusing on those at risk of poor outcomes.
π€ Support families with additional needs, signposting to relevant services.
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Help parents understand and support their childβs learning, especially in communication and language development.
π Deliver courses aligned with agreed principles and practices, contributing to the evaluation process.
πΆ Oversee high-quality crΓ¨che provision for children under 5 during parent/carer sessions.
π©βπ§ Ensure health and safety compliance, including risk assessments and play area suitability.
π€ Work in partnership with families, implementing safeguarding and child protection procedures.
π Contribute to service development and improvement, actively participating in initiatives.
π Maintain high standards of record-keeping in line with relevant procedures.
Work Environment:
π Role based in childrenβs centres, community venues, and family homes across the borough.
π Flexibility required, including potential work outside office hours.
π€ Ability to work unaccompanied and network effectively for a good understanding of services.
