Quantity Surveyor (Highways)

Our client, a leading entity in the highways and transportation sector, is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This permanent role involves assisting in the delivery and governance of commercial services to the Highways Maintenance and Projects Framework, ensuring value for money and sustainable shareholder value consistent with agreed processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing of works in accordance with the contract using the Schedule of Rates
Management of Early Warnings, Compensation Events and associated quotations
Processing of cost and value using Causeway and Kheops
Management of supply chain partners
Preparing subcontract documentation and procuring subcontract packages
Assessment and processing of subcontractor payments and liabilities
Providing advice on contractual matters
Managing Defined Cost and pain/gain trackers

Job Requirements:

Experience in Quantity Surveying, particularly within highways maintenance
Understanding of Schedule of Rates and its application
Proficiency with NEC Term Service Contracts
Knowledge of cost management systems, with the ability to learn Causeway Project Accounting
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
IT literacy, particularly in MS Excel
Excellent communication and team-working skills
