A respected regional building / modular contractor with a rich pedigree of delivering new build and refurbishment projects across the south west and southern England are seeking a knowledgeable “stand-alone” Quantity Surveyor ideally with NEC option 3 & 4 contracts to commercially run a brand new build project in Newquay, the project is split into two MOD blocks with a build value around £6 million.
Generally their portfolio includes MOD, commercial, education, healthcare and industrial sectors with projects typically ranging from £1.5 million up to and over £100 million on 5 -10 year frameworks.
Responsibilities will include:
– Preparing Tender and Contract documents
– Preparing Bills of Quantities
– Risk Management and Cost Control
– Sub Contractor Work Allocation
– Preparing Accurate Progress Reports and keeping accurate record of variations
– Identifying risks throughout the project
– Complete monthly valuations and payments and prepare detailed scope of works for sub contractors to price
– CVR’s
Key Experience and Requirements:
– 5+ years Quantity Surveying experience with a build contractor.
– NEC option 3 & 4 contracts
– Modular build knowledge an advantage not essential.
– Excellent communication/ team work capability.
– Computer literacy will also be essential.
