Position Overview

Massey University’s Toi Rauwhārangi College of Creative Arts seeks 2 Research Support Administrators to support the research team in Wellington on fixed-term (9 April – 25 September 2024), part-time (0.4FTE/2 days per week) basis.

Research Support Administrator – Māori and Moana Pacific Creative Arts Projects

Our Research Support Administrators provide comprehensive, high quality research administration support to CoCA’s researchers undertaking both generalist and Mātauranga Māori and Moana Pacific creative arts research. These hands-on, technical support roles will assist CoCA researchers to find, upload, and maintain research records on digital systems in preparation for PBRF Fund Quality Evaluation in 2026.

Based at Massey University’s Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington campus it is expected that you will be available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Some flexibility in dates and days of work will be considered for the right candidate.

Occasional travel to Massey’s Manawatū campus to support our researchers based in Palmerston North will be required for the Research Support Administrator – Māori and Moana Pacific Creative Arts Project role, and may be required for the Creative Arts Projects role.

About you
A relevant higher-level qualification in the Creative Arts or Humanities or working towards.
A sound knowledge of creative arts research practices and the ability to communicate their excellence and impact is essential.
Experience with research information systems such as ORCiD and Elements (Symplectic).
For the Research Support Administrator – Māori and Moana Pacific Creative Arts Projects role, it is essential you possess an understanding of toi Māori, Mātauranga Māori and moana Pacific Knowledges.

These roles will see you working closely with the College’s research team, subject librarians, and creative arts researchers, as well central Massey relationships with the research operations team including, but not limited to, the University’s research output verifiers.
