The Opportunity

We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking scheduling manager to join our established and growing team in Toronto.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Reviewing and managing portfolio schedules and overall integration schedule.
Coordinating with internal teams to ensure accuracy of schedule inputs.
Coordinating and reporting, on a monthly basis or as required, to the client and stakeholders’ updates to key milestones and activities including impact analysis.
Managing and aligning both projects’ schedules and reporting requirements.
Overlooking the scheduling team’s review and management of the contractors schedule submission and providing recommendation on baseline, re-baseline, scheduling recovery and acceleration to the client.
Reviewing schedule validation and analysis done by the scheduling teams as part of the change management process.
Managing scheduling resources on multiple projects and their deployment requirements.
Supporting and directing (as required) meetings convened by the sponsors with vendors to review project work schedule.
Continuously seeking opportunities to enhance scheduling processes, adopting industry best practices, and incorporating lessons learned from both ongoing and completed projects.
Regularly assessing risks, analyzing schedule disruptions, and determining root causes at project and portfolio levels; identifying strategies for catching up on lost time, avoiding potential delays, and recommending opportunities to accelerate work completion and recovery.
Guiding the scheduling team in establishment of rules of credit, rules of assignment, and schedule development roadmap.
Overlooking development and maintenance of schedule management plan.
Handling any conflicts or disputes related to scheduling conflicts or delays, working towards amicable resolutions to keep the project on track.
Supervising interface with other functional departments.
Managing and presenting portfolio and project level reporting to the client.
About You

You have experience in leading the complete development of a level 4 or more detailed schedule for complex infrastructure projects. You have rapid rail and transit scheduling experience including developing the construction schedules for stations, rail and systems. You have completed a university degree in engineering or related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent. You have Primavera P6 (or equivalent program) experience. You have experience managing a team of schedulers on portfolio and project levels. You have experience in transit rail systems and construction planning, managing multiple schedules from vendors working on same project that feed into master schedule. You have experience in developing and analyzing project schedule, for projects being delivered through AFP, DBB, DBF, P3 in a construction environment. You have experience in schedule analysis in RFP stage of new procurements, perform post bid analyses and other estimating information to facilitate effective and efficient decision-making by project leaders. You have strong knowledge of commercial management.
