Secondary English ECT – Burnley

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting! Are you a passionate and motivated English ECT looking for your first teaching opportunity in Burnley? An OFSTED ‘Good’ mainstream secondary school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English ECT for a full-time, long-term role, with the potential to transition into a permanent position. The Role:

Start Date: After February Half Term
Pay Rate: £110 – £150
Teach engaging and interactive English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Develop your teaching skills with the support of an experienced and nurturing English department.
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students, fostering a love for English.
Assess, track, and provide feedback on student progress to support academic achievement.

The Ideal English ECT Will:

Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4 English.
Be eager to develop and refine their teaching practice in a collaborative and supportive setting.
Be proactive, enthusiastic, and committed to creating an engaging learning experience for all students.
Show excellent classroom management and a willingness to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

Requirements to Apply:

Hold QTS status or be on track to achieve it.
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
A CV covering employment history from secondary school to the present.
